UofH September 30th
Charlie McGill
UofH Psych Internship 9/30/2019
Today was the second week of my internship at University of Houston's Psychology Lab at their main campus, and the first week in which I did real work.
I arrived at the lab at about 9:55, and I stopped by the 2nd floor coffee shop on my way up to the lab, which is on the 4th floor. I worked on two things this week: a literature search for a study about BPD, and the entry of some survey data into the z drive. I made awesome progress with the data entry; I completed the entire thing in about 40 minutes. However, the literature search proved difficult. I need to find literature about BPD in youth that UofH hasn't found already, and since they're very meticulous sometimes little comes up. This was the case today. I found only two books that met the previously stated criteria. I'm going to continue to work on this literature search next week, and use different key words to try and be more productive.
Overall, this was a great week at the lab. I'm looking forward to next week.
